COMEDY FOR A CAUSE: UMPS CARE CHARITIES
Rand Comedy Productions produces various shows throughout Southern California & Arizona, including Comedy for a Cause. Every Comedy for a Cause show is produced in partnership with a local charitable organization that receives a portion of ticket sales, after expenses. Come enjoy a good laugh while helping a great organization.
This show supports UMPS CARE Charities. Founded in 2006 through the compassion of Major League Baseball Umpires, UMPS CARE Charities has grown to create a philanthropic movement among umpires at all levels of the game. Umpires take time away from the baseball diamond to give back to the community in a variety of ways - they invite groups from youth-based organizations and military families to enjoy VIP experiences at the ballpark, they deliver Build-A-Bear furry friends to the bedsides of sick children undergoing treatment in hospitals, they provide college scholarships to children who were adopted later in life and they recently started a program to train teens to learn umpiring mechanics and leadership skills.
